Professor Goutam Chakraborty
Professor & Head of Intelligent Informatics Lab., Department of Software & Information Science, Iwate Prefectural University, Iwate Ken, Takizawa, Japan 020-0193. He got Ph.D. degree from the Department of Research Institute of Electrical Communication of Tohoku University,Sendai, in Japan 1993. April 2002 - Present:Tenured Full Professor and Head of Intelligent Informatics Lab. in the Department of Software & Information Science, Iwate Prefectural University, Iwate Ken, Japan, 020-0193.Visiting faculty in the University of Waterloo, ON, Canada, from August, 2006 till July, 2007.Visiting full professor in Tohoku University, Japan, from September 2004 to March 2005. April 1998 - March 2002:Associate Professor in the Department of Software \& Information Science, Iwate Prefectural University, Iwate Ken, Japan, 020-0193. May 1995 - March 1998:Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Software, University of Aizu, Fukushima, Japan 965-8580. April 1993 - April 1995:Research Associate in the Research Institute of Electrical Communication, Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan 980-8577. June 1981 - January 1990:Class I Gazetted Officer (employed through Indian Engineering Services Exam.) in the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India (at that time the only telecommunication service provider in India).
Professor Minyi Guo
School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Aizu, Aizu-Wakamatsu City, Japan. Dr. Minyi Guo is currently a professor at the Department of Computer Software, The University of Aizu, Japan. From 2001 to 2003, he was a visiting professor of Georgia State University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and University of New South Wales. He is now leading Performance Evaluation Laboratory at the University of Aizu. Prof. Guo has published more than 150 papers in the main journals and international conferences. Dr. Guo has served as general chair, program committee or organizing committee chair for many international conferences. He is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Embedded Systems. He is also in editorial board of International Journal of High Performance Computing and Networking, Journal of Embedded Computing, Journal of Computational Science and Engineering, and International Journal of Computer and Applications. Dr. Guo's research interests include parallel and distributed processing, parallelizing compilers, data parallel languages, data mining, molecular computing and software engineering. He is a senior member of IEEE, the member of ACM, IPSJ and IEICE.

Professor Yo-Ping Huang
Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan 10608. Yo-Ping Huang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Tatung University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1983 and 1985, respectively and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, U.S.A., in 1992. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and secretary general at National Taipei University of Technology. He was with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Tatung University as an associate professor, professor and chairman, dean of general affairs, dean of college of electrical engineering and computer science. His research interests include application systems design for handheld devices, data mining, fuzzy modeling, and information retrieval. He is a senior member of the IEEE, associate editor of the International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, and editor of the Journal of the Chinese Grey System Association.
Professor Shyi-Ming Chen
Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan.. Dr. Shyi-Ming Chen is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in June 1991. He is currently the President of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI). He has published over 280 papers in referred journals, conference proceedings and book chapters. His research interests include fuzzy systems, information retrieval, knowledge-based systems, artificial intelligence, neural networks, data mining and genetic algorithms. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part A, an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part C, an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, an Associate Editor of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine, an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Applied Intelligence, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Tools, an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, and an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control. He is an IET Fellow (Fellow of IEE), a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Board of Governors member of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, Co-Chair of the IEEE SMC’s Technical Committee on Intelligent Internet Systems, and an IEEE Taipei Section Officer.
